FCC Builds Beds for Louisville Children in Need
After doing a story for WHAS 11 about the heartbreaking reality of so many children in our community not having beds, First Christian Church member Rachel Platt knew she wanted FCC to get involved in an effort to change that.
There are about 13,000 homeless children who attend Jefferson County Public Schools. A conservative estimate is that 3,000 of those children have no bed on which to sleep.
FCC members and friends will come together after services on Sunday, December 9, 2018 to participate in the now annual Build a Bed project for the third year in a row. FCC built 25 beds in 2016, 30 beds in 2017 and will build another 30 in 2018. Please check out the slideshow above to see some photos from last year's build!
