FCC funds Christian Care Communities Chaplaincy Program
Christian Care Communities is Kentucky’s largest faith-inspired, non-profit provider of affordable senior living and long-term care for older adults. Christian Care Communities (CCC) enhances the journey of older adults by providing low-income housing and continuing care retirement communities at 10 facilities throughout the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
CCC’s Christian caregiving is provided via a chaplaincy program that provides chaplains at each of its facilities. More than 70% of Christian Care's revenue comes from government sources that do not reimburse for chaplaincy services. Therefore, Christian Care must rely upon donations to continue the chaplaincy program and has embarked on a campaign to generate local support for chaplains at each of its locations. First Christian Church was thrilled to provide a Wholeness Grant to support the Chaplains at Christian Care's Fourth Street campus, specifically at Chapel House where First Christian also provides Elders to teach Sunday School in the Minary Program.
The wholeness grant used to fund this ministry was made possible through your faithful financial support of our church and its ministries and help fund a variety of efforts to make our world a better place.
