FCC Grant Helps Former Inmates Find Security and Success
When those who have been incarcerated come to the end of their sentences, returning to life beyond the bars is not always easy. It can be difficult to find work, stable housing, and the support needed to re-enter society.
FCC member Leslie Faust has been working hard to help former inmates overcome these challenges. With a Wholeness Grant provided by the church, Leslie is able to offer not only emotional and spiritual support, but also with some of the challenges they face due to lack of financial resources.
For example, she has helped women who are transitioning out of prison get phone service, Kroger gift cards, and bus tickets. These items help them in their search for employment and give them hope for a better life ahead.
The women Leslie helps are part of the ministry associated with New Life in Christ Christian Church at the Dierson House, a ministry that is in partnership with Mission Behind Bars and Beyond. To learn more about the great work they are doing, please click here.
The wholeness grant used to fund this ministry was made possible through your faithful financial support of our church and its ministries and help fund a variety of efforts to make our world a better place.
