FCC Supports Hurricane Relief Efforts
Hurricanes Harvey, Irma and Maria each wreaked their own havoc across Texas, the southeastern United States, Florida, Puerto Rico, and other islands and places in the surrounding coastal areas.
Their damage was immense. Lives and livelihoods were lost and the recovery will take decades, at the least.
Week of Compassion, the benevolent arm of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) stands ready to assist in just such situations—with on the ground partnerships, they are able, in the midst of such tragedy, to determine needs and respond it he best way possible.
Knowing that WOC could get money where it was needed quickly and efficiently, First Christian Church sent donations of $1000 for each hurricane, sending $3000 total to Week of Compassion to support the work of hurricane recovery.
