First Christian Members Help Care for Animals in Local Shelters

When church members Lee Otto and Terry Wooden thought about how they might bring healing and hope to our world, they thought about an often overlooked, but important part of our community.

Waggin’ Tails is a ministry designed to help animals at local shelters feel loved and cared for while they wait on their forever home.

With the help of a wholeness grant, FCC members collected food and other supplies and delivered them to a local shelter. One of our calls as Christians is to help care for all of God’s creation, including animals large and small. Our hope is that through this ministry, some tails will be waggin’ with joyful appreciation.

The wholeness grant used to fund this ministry was made possible through your faithful financial support of our church and its ministries and help fund a variety of efforts to make our world a better place.
