New Picnic Tables for FCC
FCC member John McBroom was completing his 10-year journey to become an Eagle Scout. One of the requirements of becoming an Eagle Scout is to plan, facilitate, and complete a significant community service project. John decided he wanted his service project to benefit FCC Louisville.
When thinking through what his project might be, John noticed that FCC didn't have any picnic tables on our campus. Spending lots of time at FCC over the years, John realized that picnic tables would enable groups of people to gather outdoors together on our campus. This could be especially helpful as the COVID pandemic was keeping groups from gathering indoors. John decided that planning and assembling four picnic tables to be placed on FCC's campus would be his service project. John received a wholeness grant to purchase the lumber and hardware to assemble the four picnic tables.
The picnic tables are now placed on FCC's campus and have already been used by numerous groups at the church and John has completed his requirements and is now an Eagle Scout.
The wholeness grant used to fund this ministry was made possible through your faithful financial support of our church and its ministries and help fund a variety of efforts to make our world a better place.
