Sewing Class

The Thursday night sewing class will meet for three weeks in November (11/7, 11/14, 11,21) from 5:30 – 7:00pm. Each week we will make a different project. Some sewing machines are provided but if you have your own please bring it. Children must attend with an adult.
There is no cost for the class but participants must bring their own supplies/materials. An iron and basic notions provided.

General supplies needed: scissors, thread, pins or wonder clips
![]() | Week 1: Reversible Place mats Materials needed: · 2 yards of different fabrics · matching thread · one package of lightweight interfacing. Fusible interfacing is ok too. Note: 2 yards each makes at least 6 placemats. If you just want to make one then ½ yard of each fabric is enough.

![]() | Week 2: Bowl Koozies (also known as super bowl cozy) Materials needed: · ½ yard each of different fabrics (100% cotton) · Pellon Wrap N Zap cotton batting (if will be used in microwave) or 100% cotton quilt batting |
Week three: to be determined based on class interest.
