The story of Jesus washing his disciples' feet has always been one of my favorites. If anything can express a servant spirit, this story does. And, after all, are we not all supposed to serve each other as a way of serving our Lord and Father?

Many of us have walked the path that many of you have found yourself on. Life can throw us a jolt that can literally have us losing our bearings. Stephen Ministry can be a compass back to the path. We are here to help lift the weight and have God lighten your load. He is the problem solver and cure giver for the heaviness life can put on our shoulders.

He has asked of all his disciples to help others with the cross they bear, when it is just too heavy to carry alone.

We are all asked to live with a servant spirit, realizing that we can do no less than he has taught us, to care for one another. Stephen Ministry is a program that teaches listening skills. We can be the relief valve that the pressures of life have put on each of us. We can focus on the power of Acceptance and Grace, through this listening, nonjudgmental, and confidential approach.
